Hello 2017……..
Welcome Purbeck Aristan Yard followers to
another very exciting year at the Purbeck Artisan Yard, Wareham.
The yard opened in April 2016 and it has been
a roaring success for all the Artisans and Upcylers involved.
There's been a hive of activity since it opened
in 2016 with so many wonderful events, from
‘The Grand Opening’, The Charity Vintage Tea Party (lots of scrummy cake!!!), Wareham Wednesdays Late Night Opening, Our
Yard Scarecrow (who was based on James from the Salt Pig) The ‘Winter
Wednesdays’ Late Night Shopping and our superb Christmas Markets- This was just
in the first eight months!!!!
In addition to all the fabulous events that
have taken place at the Artisan Yard we also held some excellent workshops-
hence the reason why we have such an enormous table!!
In 2016 we held Drink and
Draw with the talented Mark Page, a brilliant lampshade making course with the reputable Jenny Sibthorp and our regular Knit & Knatter with the lovely Sarah.
So after a brilliant 2016- what is to come of this year………..
Well, here are some of the courses that are
happening over the next couple of months.
Take and look and book on!
The yard is home to over thirteen different
Artisan Units- some of which are made up of a few different businesses, so we
have a broad range of artisan produce, vintage homeware, upcycled furniture and
lots more. The yard is always changing-
with so much to buy!!
If you are trying to find us- because of the
nature of our fabulous industrial building- we are tucked away off the main
drag of the high-street. To find us-
look out for the purple signs that are dotted around the town with our logo on.
They will lead you to us and click on this link http://www.purbeckartisanyard.co.uk/p/location.html
& you will find us and so many brilliant Artisans.
Not only has there been a hive of activity in
the Yard- but Purbeck in general. The
Isle of Purbeck has been in the media spotlight this month with Britain’s Best
Walks with Julia Bradbury’ on ITV &
our stunning coastline was featured on Channel 4 ‘Jamie & Jimmy’s Friday Night
Feast’ as we saw Jimmy kayaking and spearfishing out to Old Harry Rocks. Last week the Artisan Yard was extremely
excited as we welcomed the Winter watch 2017 team who returned to Arne this
week to capture nature at its best. The set designers popped into the Artisan
Yard and purchased some items for the ‘outdoor studio’. Have a look and see if
you can spot anything from the Artisan Yard?
So thank you to all our lovely customers at
the yard! And our online followers. The Artisan Yard is now on Facebook, Instagram
and Twitter so click on the links to
keep to date with what’s going on...
