We always like to offer something new to the visitors of the yard and by having guest artists and creators we're able to do this, it also allows other local artisans to showcase and sell their work alongside our permanent residents. It's also a great opportunity to test the waters to see if you would like to apply for a permanent space in the future.
You can apply for a guest artist exhibition space, usually a wall space for hanging or shelf space by completing the form below. You can exhibit for a month at a time (although this can be more depending on time of year/bookings etc we can discuss this with you) Your work can be for sale and the resident artisans will be responsible for selling, recording and taking the money for any sales, this will then be paid to you at the end of your exhibition.
The cost varies depending on the time of year, but here is a general guide -
peak season April to Sept - £50 per month
Off peak Jan to March & October - £45 per month
Christmas Nov/December - £65 per month
We will arrange for a time for you to come and hang your work or showcase it on the shelving space, Eddie (our resident artist and all round handyman!) will be on hand to help. Please make sure all work is clearly labelled with the price, it's also great to include a short Bio or details about yourself to put alongside your work. You are more than welcome to pop in during your exhibition time to check on sales/restock etc. We will do our best to keep you informed of sales particularly if we feel there is space that needs filling.
We will advertise guest artists on our website and our social media pages but would ask for you to also spread the word where you can.
If you are interested in exhibiting at the yard on a short term basis please get in touch -
